Issues fixed

Game does not launch

Add a working libEGL.dll file to the game folder^[two]
Download this annal. `Right click` on game in Steam library. Click Local Files. Click Browse local files... Extract the downloaded archive to the folder that opens. Notes Creating an empty text file and renaming it to `libEGL.dll` also seems to work, although it will cause an error message on launch.

Notes

Creating an empty text file and renaming it to libEGL.dll also seems to work, although it will cause an error message on launch.

Game does not launch with Nvidia GPU (Game shut immediately without any error bulletin)

If you accept Nvidia Gforce Experience, try turning off: "in game overlay" option. Click on the Settings icon (gear) on top correct. Click "GENERAL" tab and turn off "IN-GAME OVERLAY" and exit.

Low FPS in-game

Videos play at full frame rate, but gameplay (including menus) runs very slowly.

Disable Steam Overlay ^{[citation needed]}
`Right click` on game in Steam library. Click Backdrop. Uncheck Enable the Steam overlay while in-game, then press Close.

Bad frame-pacing

Videos play at total frame charge per unit, simply gameplay (including menus) runs very slowly.

Disable Steam Input
`Right click` on game in Steam library. Click Properties. Go to Controller. In Override for Chrono Trigger option select Disable Steam Input

Cap your fps to sixty
Utilize Special K or RivaTuner Statistics Server to cap your fps to 60.
